Is refinishing the right choice?

The floor's construction, previous sanding and condition matter more than its age alone. We meet with you in person and look at remaining wood thickness, loose or damaged boards, old coatings and areas of discoloration before recommending a scope of work.

Some lightly worn floors may need a maintenance coat. Others need full sanding, repairs or replacement in damaged areas. Moisture-related problems should be addressed before refinishing. Can my hardwood floor be refinished?

Many solid hardwood floors can be refinished if enough wood remains above the tongue and groove. Engineered wood needs a suitable wear layer and manufacturer approval. We assess the floor before recommending sanding; laminate and luxury vinyl cannot be sanded like hardwood.

Do I need a full refinish or just a new coat?
